Thoughts on wireless wireless 802.11ac and usb 3.0 adapters? Really needed?

    Hey guys,

About to splurge on a 802.11ac Asus router, but wondering about which wireless card to get. Looks like it's probably worth picking up the new edimax usb 3 wireless adapter as its only 39.99 but I cant believe it will be any quicker.

Results for the routers wireless speed tend to be around 150-200mbps, about 4 times slower than the publicised spec. Surely with usb 2.0's 480mbps max, the usb 3.0 adapter is not really going to make much of a difference here you'd think?

I don't think it'll be any quicker either.
