Can't access to Wireless Extender !

I got Edimax Wireless 300M Range extender / AP.

I tried to access to this thing by put the ip address which is 192.168.2.1 but I can't get into the item.
I used the Ethernet cable connect it between the item and the computer, it has a light on wireless and the land, I did reset it but it doesn't make any different. Could anyone help me please?

What happens when you put in the IP into a browser ? Are all the lights on ?
have a look at this troubleshooting guide.

Re: Can't access to Wireless Extender !

    Pardon ?
Did you put the IP in a browser ?
Do you have a router or modem ? You need to be on the hetwork already in order to address the extender.

Doesn't matter if my broadband modem router is not an edimax ?

Re: Can't access to Wireless Extender !

I work it out with the setting but one problem I can't get this work as a bridge, I have to connect the modem router by cable to the edimax thing.
