Demon has a great network, download speed is your typical 60kbps and upload is around 30kpbs but for gaming it's great.

On my 2mb Bulldog ADSL line in Uni I get a ping of around 40, with demon it's about 20. I think it's because they use a different sort of protocol?

Customer support is good (only used it once as well), never had any network problems.

    Weird

Your ping on the bulldog of about 40 is double what I usually get on my 2 MB bulldog line. Mines more 14-20 as per the 40 you state.

I would have a natter with bulldog if I was you. Are you on a primetime or alltime product or a LLU line?. Bulldog have been doing a LOT of work on their network over the last few weeks ( ahem - thank god C&W bought Bulldog ) and they are trying to sort out all the issues now.
