    going wireless, good price?

i've been quoted around t he £220 mark for a netgear wireless broadband router(wgr614), and three netgear wireless USB network cards(wg111), is this a reasonable offer, 70 for the router and 50 for the cards?

is there a set limit on how many connections you can have to the router? or would a laptop and PS2 (£60 for net brodge) be ok aswell?

Are you on cable or ADSL? If the latter,
Wireless ADSL router w/bundled USB stick plus two of THESE seems a little nearer the mark, pricewise and in terms of functionality.

If cable, substitute Linksys broadband router (£65.98) and 3 of Linksys USB Wireless-G adapters (£44.99) and you'll save a few squids plus the Linksys kit is very solid.

3 machines plus a laptop and a PS2 isn't going to make that scream in fright, but bear in mind that your 54Mbps speed will be shared between the available devices (wireless APs are more like hubs than switches).
