    Will this work

First let me apologise for my paint skills

    Right, will this work?

My Router/Modem (Probably a Speedtouch) will connect to my microfilter and then to my smoothwall server (This is how I suppose it works, don't really know how else to work it)

Smoothwall server then checks all packets etc, is then plugged into my switch via an extra NIC card. Switch then connect to one windows machine (that will need net access) and also to my wireless AP bridge. Transmitted through the bridge into my house and then to 2 pcs that also need net access.

PCs 1,2 and 3 are the ones that need net access.

    Will all that work?

Only thing I'm worried about is the whole Smoothwall server. I can't really connect it to my switch because it then would really be effective.

    Any help/suggestions welcome

Should work fine as long as you set it up correctly. Shouldnt be too hard. Loads of documentation on the net. And you can always ask for help here

You made perfect sense until that last sentence!
I'm not familiar with Smoothwall, I assume it's firewall software running on a dedicated PC. In which case your setup is perfect. The wireless bridge will be mostly "transparent", acting just like a wire, but slower. What speed it will run at depends on lots of things, as you know. All PCs will have internet access if you configure the firewall to allow it.

Yeah - probably will work with some configurations ... you may want to look into these little wireless bridges that act totally transparently as wireless bridges - that way its as if you've connected the switches via a cable.

E.G. I'm using 2 X TRENDnet TEW-310APB devices. They each have a web configuration page, but other than that they act as a "virtual ethernet cable."
A faster, more flexible device is the U.S. Robotics Wireless Turbo Multi-Function Access Point

Wireless bridge is already in place (I pair of Buffalo AirStations set to dedicated wireless bridge mode) just waiting for the microfilter, router and smoothwall server.

    Cheers guys!
