ADSL Routers for Gaming?

I'm looking in to buying a router for my network, but I wanted to know if anyone has anything to say about gaming performance on them. I've heard some horror stories of people getting 200+ pings on bad routers... Can you suggest any good ones? Thanks again..

I use a bog standard 20 quid origo router on a 2 Mb line and its fine for upto 8 clients on my network all connecting to the same server

I was thinking of getting the D-Link 504/604. Anyone who has either of these could you say if u had any problems gaming on them. Thx monkey for the advice but i'm on 512k and 2mb should be quick on any router....
