    help with bb set up

    rite im thinking of getting bb but i need to have it on two computers. i thought of using another pc as a server and then runnin my pc and the laptop of both via network cables. is this poosible without getting a hub or router?

    It is indeed possible, but power bills would be higher and it would be alot noisier than a hub/router.

    Agreed, and if it were me and I were using a PC and a laptop, I'd look at a wireless ADSL gateway with a built-in ADSL modem. There's an EXCELLENT 3Com bundle at Dabs for under £80, which includes a 3Com wireless ADSL router and a 3Com PCMCIA card LINKY. Sorted one of these out for a chap at work and he's thrilled to bits with it.

    its only a short term thing till i did get wirless gettin it for nowt off me unlce the wireless i mean.

    OK, assuming that you're getting a wireless card and access point, I'd still look at getting a router, and you can pick up the Ebuyer 4-port wired router for about £30.
