    Zen

currently....100% happy. Cant help enough...and I dont even have an account or a telephone for them to deal with.

Rand me back WHEN they said.....and I am now setting up an account on someone elses phone (on a house I wanna buy) to see if its possible.

With the exception of Flash, who IS the MOST helpfull bloke in the world, Zen score a high second.

Fingers crossed....but even if BT let us down on the cabling....Zen ARE the best I have dealt with so far.

Makes you wonder how they employ their staff. Cant all be luck, can it. Does the working environment help?

Try blueyonder for support. Complained that I was getting crap speeds to europe (<1mbit), yet fine speeds to USA (~4mbit).

40 mins later, routing had noticebly changed, problem solved. Now that's incredibly impressive how the message got to core NOC staff so dam quickly...then solved :O

I can probably save people a bit of cash on the initial setup fee , it does vary with the product.

I'm with Zen now (1 mb), was with Zen in my last house, and the one before that, if you're with the best why change?

In fact they're so great that when I move in with my GF I'm going to just pay her off for her 12-month-locked-in tiscali 150k rubbish, and order Zen straight away.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

Right....I've got an Activation date....bear in mind this is SOMEONE ELSES house that I'm trying to buy!!! (wont buy it with no broadbean connection...period)

I have been assigned username etc...and an IP address!

Thats a new one for me.

Is that something that I change on my PC? The initial set up will simply be on a USB Alcatel modem, although if I move in it'll be router.

    But initially I have to:

Go to someone elese house who have never met me. Intro myself as the nutter who will only buy their house if its got a PHAT PIPE and then with my shuttle and my LCD pop into their spare room where a phone socket is and......

follow the foool proof instructions that I hope come with the modem?

I mean.....filter for the phones...ok ..got two for them so the poor sods have telephones in their own house

then will I get an install disk? Or what?

    actually..../logical head on

if XP auto detects anyway, and Zen has assigned me an IP address, it must be assigned to the phone number. Yes or No?

And if thats the case once I have the USB modem installed I'll simply need a web address to go to, to type in the username and password, won't I?

Cos Zen will assign the IP to me.

    hmm....just confused myself again

Zen is the puppies parts. After my nightmare with cannadoo (broadband for idiots) they were a breath of fresh air. 1 month contract, helpful customer service, rapid connection, router shipped when they said it would. I had a modem in the house hooked up and it went live before my due date. Phoned Zen and they said I wasn't due for another 2 days but as I had connectivity gave me my login details etc. so I could get straight on. Friendly and chatty customer rep who dealt with my questions quickly and with minimal fuss. Sorted.
