    USB Wireless-ness

    simple really.

    With an ADSL router, with WIFI, how good is a USB WIFI jobbie for a PC?

    I know there are PIC versions, but in a SFF with a better sound card in the PCI slot, is a USB WIFI fingy-bob any good?

    I use usb wireless dongles all the time.I have 1 at home as I can only use 1 PC at a time and windows XP SP2 automatically detects the dongle and connects the wireless straight away

    The 1 I have even has a "software Access point" setup so 2 PC's with dongles can share an internet connection without messing about setting DCHP and all that messing about

    They work fine with usb 1.1 but only operate at a slower speed i.e 11 Mbps as opposed to 54 Mbps. I've checked the manual for it and it states the following ;
