I used Zen ADSL for a year and it was really good, Im always worried beng with BT now seeing as they are so official etc, Im going back to Zen.
BT is even worse now that they have introduced bandwidth limits
Pipex Xtreme service is extremly good and everyone I know whos on it love it!
Never got any lag, ready a week early and great ratings on ADSLGuide

Dedicated Zen boy here, Love em to bits;
Plus points:
1 month rolling contract so if you don't like them you're not tied into a 12 month contract
Superb Customer services and tech support (not that you'd probably need either)
No download caps, port blocking or other naughty stuff going on on their networks.
I recommend them to everyone; Everyone I know thats with them, love them.
I'd say Pipex too. 12 month contract, but you get your hardware modem/router/microfilters free, unlike Zen apparantly.
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
I am on Eclipse - no complaints even with the Hull boyos taking over.
Get either the best or second best ping on most UK CS servers and I am on xtra xtra long range RADSL.

I find that an advantage, i think those supplied modems are crappy and i much prefer choosing my own hardware.Originally Posted by yamangman
I can't see any possible way not having a choice is an advantage. You can choose not to have it if you don't want it, if you do want it, it's free.

The price you pay is the contract and maybe even higher monthly costsOriginally Posted by yamangman
I think those supplied modems are nasty, but i guess i am more than an average consumer
100% agree. I'm with this service, and never had a problem. Lag isn't an issue either with online games.Originally Posted by Firelord
Zen, costs slightly more, but it's just a far better service than pipex had (I moved from pipex to Zen)

I conducted a test with Nildram, Pipex, Zen, BT, Freeserve and AOL for an article I once wrote. I have used Zen for 3 months and Pipex for more than 20. I came to the conclusion that Pipex offers the better overall service. Speed = Good, customer support = great, web space = great (offers dynamic data and scripting that others don't) price = great, overall package = excellent.
