Not personally, no. I have decent experience with the Raspberry Pi for other things, but not that specifically.
In all honestly, I would recommend looking at the suggestions of other people, they are cost comparative, will work out the box and require less existing IT knowledge.
I got quite confused with your description about how things are connected, but assuming Wi-Fi isnt available, it sounds like you need more than one ethernet connection in the room, in which case perhaps you need to pick up a cheap switch also.
