Hi All,
I'm a jack of all trades master of none at work (IT isn't my main role) we recently had an IT audit before we get some new software made for our work.
There are a few red marks to fix but I'm able to resolve most of these easily, but this one has me stump a little. So far as I am aware I haven't set any conditional forwarders up on the Windows Server.
It reads: "The DHCP on the Zyxel is giving out DNS to the clients as .254 which is the Server, but there is then a conditional forwarder on the Server to point DNS to the Zyxel Router. There are multiple options here, but it is highly recommended to set the conditional forwarder to Google DNS to ensure that a highly reliable external DNS provider is used"
The server only points to the router as the default gateway and the DNS points to googles DNS so the above comment makes no sense to me, can anyone advise?
Thanks
