I use a Proxy server to connect to the AOL broadband service.
What should I enter into the DNS settings part of my TCP/IP configuration?
cheers

AOL's DNS servers addresses. ISP's normally have 2 DNS servers and they should have the information somewhere on their site...... somewhere......
NS

You can use anybody's DNS servers really, but using your ISP's tends to be quicker.
My gateway has a DNS server on it so my LAN comps use 192.168.0.1 as their DNS server. The gateway looks at 212.50.160.100 (Karoo's Primary DNS server) then it's secondary (can't remember it) if it doesn't have an address cached.
I'd say use someone elses DNS server until you can ring AOL and find out what theirs are.
Nildrams are -
195.112.4.4 and
195.112.4.7
I know their time servers and other IP addresses off the top of my head too. Very sad.
But as unts said, the only dissadvantage of using somewhere elses DNS servers are an added extra few milliseconds on the response times really.
