    D-Link DSL-604+

I'm having problem with my DSL-604+

I am using CPBB ISP atm with it and have to hard reset it about once a day i.e. remove power lead. I have had it just sent back from D-Link who said it was fine. I had initially sent it off as it didn't work at all with my Pipex ISP.

Anyone know of any known issues?

    Several as it happens..

Disable UPNP, Disable DNS Proxy (manually add the dns setting to each machine on the network), and try not to use p2p software too much..

That'll get you down to about one reboot a week (or fortnight if you're lucky)

I found that MSN whilst loaded or mainly file transfers could crash my 504+

msn isnt very upnp compliant in coding standards (oh where have i heard this before with other protocols etc...), and given that the d-link's implementation of upnp isnt great at handling exceptions, **** hits the fan badly , which results in a locked up dlink.

Ms is once again, to blame here, checked myself the xml upnp.

624+ doesnt suffer from this issue. I wouldnt call D-Link the bees-nees, that title belongs to the Linksys WRT54G with custom firmware, which ill be getting myself soon.
