Recovering network files?

I have a small domain network, and , at the moment if anyone deletes a file of the network drive, i can recover it for them!

- It dont appear in the local recyal bin!
- It doesnt appear in the servers recycal bin!
- And i can find anythink about it on the web!

What should i be doing, is there a setting somewhere are what?

You would need to backup your server & restore it from there.

It does not go into a recycle bin on a network.... unless anyone would like to tell me how it can be done...?

It can't be done, SMB delete requests are linked directly with the file system, so when you delete a file over the network, its file entry is gone, if you want to prevent users from deleting files then tighten up file permissions!..

Personally I think the Recycle Bin is a pile of junk from its first inception.. I've always disabled it and removed it from my desktop.. I check my files if im not sure if its the right or wrong file to remove.

So there is no way at all that i can recover deleted file except from a backup?
