By going for Cable?
By going for Cable?
Don't think so because NTL already have (reasonable) limits but they would most likely follow suit to 'keep up' with the current market.
HEXUS|iMc
think you'll find people who you pay more for monthly wont cap you.
So...Zen then

Then tough... limits it is.
Plus.Net have a 120gb a month AUP which imo is more than reasonable, theres seldom months where i reach 55gb.
If there are limits they won't be there for long, with the approval of ADSL2+ speeds of up to 24Mbit/s will be available to the consumer, having low limits in place would make those higher bandwidth services utterly pointless..

ADSL2+ will give a maximum of 18mb on a single unbonded line (still damn fast).
NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, GBA, DS, PSone, PS2, PSP, PS3 60gb, XBOX, XBOX 360, Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, PC Engine, Neo Geo CD
ADSL2+ goes up to 24MBit/s, it's just that BT aren't going that high with the trial.

On what line? My plus.net usage is over 120gb so far this month.Originally Posted by ozzyo99
I stand corrected, i should have known BT wouldnt trial the full speed, i could have sworn i read somewhere that said that above 18mb you literally have to live with the exchange in your back garden to achive it.

yeah, with adsl2+ BT are going to be putting more equipment in the street to reduce the line length, otherwise you're right, it'd be no better than normal adsl for most of us..

Blueyonder?
Are you not thinking of VDSL where the DSLAMS wouyld be in the green cabinet rather than the exchane almost eliminating line distance issues? As i thought that ADSL2+ in most cases just requires a firmwareupgrade on the DSLAMS at the exchange.Originally Posted by Stoo
