Is anyone having issues running a Chromecast off a Virgin Superhub 2?
For literally years, I've been using a Chromecast - it's attached via wireless to my Superhub, and I cast stuff from my PC which is hardwired into the router. A couple of days ago, the PC stopped being able to find the CC, despite it showing up in the network list & being able to ping it. All the mobile devices work as normal (Android phone, iphone & ipad). Another windows PC (connected via wireless) doesn't want to play either. I did manage to get that one working by using my phone as the wireless AP, but that isn't practical. Is there a setting on the router preventing the PC working? Do I need to open up any ports or anything for it to work?
I've tried both 1st gen & 2nd gen CCs, factory reset both of them, reinstalled Chrome, installed Chrome Canary and even bunged a fresh windows install on the PC - all with the same result, ie not working. I'm stumped as to what has changed to stop it working as it's been flawless pretty much forever!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Has the Virgin box had a recent update??

This is what I was thinking, you would be best off checking Virgin forums for any recent Chromecast issues, sounds like a recent Virgin update borked them. Though I know that Chromecast had a recent update, but probably not in your timeframe.

There are known issues with the chromecast and shub2 and a number of other routers, i believe its actually google at fault this time.
Shub 2 sucks tho, the 2AC was a far better hub, personally i'd call virgin, see if you can get a 3.0 and run it in modem mode with a 3rd party router
edit : iirc the issues were with casting causing the hub to crash, not preventing pc's finding the router. Its generally unlikely to be the router in this case (but not impossible) as the chromecast connects and other non windows devices can find and connect to the device. Have you tried different versions of windows or were they the same?
