    Question Sharing HDD?

I know the risks with a wireless router, but what's the problems with sharing hard drives on a wired network?

i would of thought it would be ok, but it may be easier for corruption to occur.., but if you have a good signal it should be fine

We'd all be a bit screwed if a NAS device got corrupted each time someone's computer crashed or something

So is that it's definatly safe, or just maybe?

And is corruption the only risk, if at all?

If you share the harddrives over a domain then you can have all sorts of authentication to stop unwanted users accessing them.

Across just 3 computers? They'll hardley ever be needed, all I'm asking is is it OK to put them as shared just in case they're needed?
