Hi my brother wants to get WiFi in his garage which sits separately from his house at around 15m apart, he was looking at the Screwfix WiFi extenders but I thought to ask on here first for any help on how to achieve this?
Thanks

The BT/Google mesh setups might be worth a look. My man cave isn't far off that and it works fine.
I use powerline adapters to provide ethernet in the garage, I believe you can get those with wifi built in as well.
Yeah, I've got one and plug it in at the back of the house when I need wifi in the shed. Never used wifi extenders, the theory put me off (if you're wireless isn't great for some reason then relying on a poor connection to extend it sounds like it's just going to lead to drops).
As I understand it, the mesh system uses a 2nd network to mesh between the nodes themselves. You can also backhaul over Ethernet (at least with the BT stuff). I moved from access points and a router to a mesh everywhere, and it's absolutely awesome.
What router is he using at the moment? Is it possible that just getting a better router would be the solution? The range of the Virgin Hub 3.0 is measured in inches, whereas upgrading to a Netgear XR500 has increased that range, on the 2.4GHz network at least, to about 40M. I get a solid connection in the back garden with the router at the front of the house.
