    Killer Wi-Fi Cards 1535 vs 1550?

    Hi All,

Trying to get back into gaming and unfortunatley it looks like its got to be wireless for me.
Now I know people say not to bother on wireless, but it seems like there are new enhancements being added to wireless cards.

Cut a long story short, I own a Killer 1535 which is running in my Desktop PC vis the use of an M2 to PCI-E card, it seems to run well.
I also have a Linksys WRT32X router which supports the killer prioritzation engine (so basically I get priority over othe network devices)
My question is, has anyone here used the killer 1550?
Im debating purchasing one from Scan, but have no idea if it would make much of a different at all.
The 1535 gets good signal, but I have heard the 1550 doesnt fair well when it comes to signal.

Has anyone made the jump from 1535 to 1550 and noticed a difference?

    Appreciate everyones time.

What are your reason behind looking at the 1550?

It sounds like you are already happy with the 1535 that you are using and it is performing well.

I don't believe in splashing cash just for the sake of it unless it's going to fill a need that what I currently has doesn't.

WiFi makes sense for laptops, but for desktop use Powerline ethernet adapters seem a far better bet when you can't just run a cable from the router.

    1550 is 15 higher than 1535 so it'll be 15 better.

    Re: Killer Wi-Fi Cards 1535 vs 1550?

Ditched my 1535 as upload speeds were well out no matter what I did, 10% of what they should be. I have put in a Intel AC-9260 and the speeds are bang on now.
