Hi guys,
I've recently moved to a new flat and currently trialing Hyperoptic's 1Gb connection - I want to make the most of the connection speed as the flat is currently rented, I don't want to go ahead with cabling up the place with ethernet cables (i know this is the best solution ).
I've been getting by with the onboard wifi from my Asus Crosshair VII but I'm maxing out @~300-350Mbps to an ASUS AC87U router. Having tried the powerline adapter option (Devolo Magic 2 LAN) i wasn't getting particularly good results.
My next move to try and get close to the 1Gb speed is to either get a better wifi receiver, Asus PCE-AC88 and a faster AC router (cheaper/slower option) or getting 2x AX routers, either Asus RT-AX88u or ROG AX11000 (expensive option) and creating a wireless bridge connection - since there are no AX client cards on the market.
Please let me know what you think or if I'm going about this completely wrong!?
Thanks in advance
