BT BroadBand Users - URL Check request please

    Hi,

could some BT broadband users check the url http://www.clubff1600.co.uk please.

I've put this URL on my broadband link to share it with some other developers to get some fixes, and see how things change, however BT users don't appear to be able to access it, some guys in the US are fine, and guys on blueyonder seem ok but the developers on BT Broadband don't even appear to hit the webserver.

Please test the URL and comment on connections please.

I'm on NTL not BT but I think I found the problem. It appears your name servers are not giving out the same details as the parent name servers. This can cause some people to be able to access the domain where others can't. Have you moved the domain recently (<48 hours) or changed the DNS for it?

    See http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsre...utemedia.co.uk for more info

this is a common problem, but this domain has been running without change for about 2 weeks now, your not the first person to say this but I don't quite understand why.

I host the domain on my office lan while its being developed.

It will go to a professionally hosted server in a datacenter, but right now we're just doing some concept work.

    EDIT:

just realised, the URL http://www.clubff1600.co.uk is the OLD site and is now down, the URL having the problem is http://www.ff1600.co.uk

    sorry for the typo.

Looks like one of your name servers is dead see http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsre...n=ff1600.co.uk (see the 1st warning). I guess some users will be forwarding the request to the name server which is broken.

If you visit http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/lookup...co.uk&type=ALL and refresh the page a few times you will see sometimes its using the alesi nameserver and sometimes it uses berger (the broken one).

its not dead, but some cock (me) has hashed the firewall table.

    nice one Rickyboy

sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees, plus its hard to debug when your sitting on the same network as the problem.

    thanks.
