IPv6 readiness test gives poor score on BT Fibre - change ISP or hardware
Hi, I've got BT fibre, and geta poor IPv6 readiness test, particularly ICMP messages getting blocked. I am wondering would I be best to switch ISP if this is being blocked at the erver, or better ot switch to a different router if it's one of the many inaccessible settings in the smarthub 2 that's blocking ICMP messages. Any thoughts and or recommendations will be greatly appreciated - thanks.

Possibly just ask BT to start with. I know with my ISP they are ipv6 enabled but you have to ask or they block it.

BT Openreach is the network infrastructure to most companies including BT Internet,so unless you use a company which doesn't piggyback on their infrastructure, all ISPs are going to offer similar features.

I'm with Zen using Openreach for the vdsl bit. They say they are IPV6 enabled, and have said that for years.
... which leads me to add a comment for the OP: If you want IPv6, and competent customer support that might well be useful if you are making the change, then it might be worth looking at Zen. Costs a bit more, but I don't get slowdowns, I get a static IP address, and if there is a problem I'm talking to people who actually know their stuff.
