    Exchange Hosting

At the moment I need one exchange account hosted for me, but with the option to add others at a later date (obviously paying per account).

Who does the best value deal?

1&1 do 1GB mailboxes for £5.99 per month, with virus scanning, Active Sync etc. Looks OK, but you have to front 6 months worth in advance. You can add extra mailboxes as you need to, though, for the same price. Is that any use?

When I last looked, that 1&1 package was a 150meg Inbox. I had noticed them trying to sell me that (I have a webhosting package with them). I'll look into it, thanks.

Well, your 6 months upfront probably takes care of the cost of a CAL pretty easily; once you've used the service, you probably won't want to discontinue it, so pretty much anything after that should be gravy, I'd have thought.

Does the cal include the outlook 2003 licence ?

but it would have to be running on exchange 2003 enterprise

they'd have to be using uber cheap storage to fit the required couple of hundred users per box required for it to make any decent profit on.

They clearly have the datacentre costs for nothing ( already paid for )
but I'm sure the hardware would represent a significant investment.

unless its a single huge multi domain exchange envirnment ( in which case how to ensure that the different domains can't see anyone on the global address list ? )
