it seems certain files, beginning with 01- disappear from the network shares
I tried renaming to .doc or .txt to see what happened, and they didn't show either.
so then I renamed 01- to x01-, so then 02- disappeared?!? what on earth is going on?!?!

anyone? seems if I use the .m3u, it will play the files 01, 02 etc, but if you browse to the folder, you just can't see it :S

It might jsut be windows mucking you around, i share alod of music over a network and its fine. Try mapping the folder its in as a drive, ive alwase found that smooths things out.
I use a program called ADCS for transfering stuff onto my network shares. Looks very complicated to begin with, but read the how to's and you shouldnt have a problem

EDIT:I should have added, it seems to transfer the files about nearly 3x the speed that windows explorer does, and is very good for using masks and rules.
