Just saw this offer and as I am moving back to London it seems quite attractive. Good thing is that its only a 1 month contract as well. Anyone with them at all or what are you thoughts on the package.

Seems a pretty good deal, 1 month contract could be interesting as well if u move around a lot or stay with friends....
It's a pretty good deal providing you're within the 4meg area, if not then it's pretty pricey. The 1 month contract is very good tho.
Just so happens that my exchange is now bulldog LLU enabled
.......That must have happened when i wasnt looking
It looks good.
hmmmmmmmmm, let me think on it. Yes i think i will![]()
I would jump at it if my exchange was LLU enabled, I have signed up to be informed when it is.
Am with Bulldog and their customer service isn't brilliant, but I've found out that nearly all problems can be sorted just by rebooting the router. Only once was there real down time and that was during maintenance/upgrading of lines.
With that service BTW, it includes your monthly phone line rental as it will be with Bulldog, not BT. So it makes it even more of a bargain IMO!![]()
I live in London so no problem with my exchange being activeGonna sign up later today 4MB here I come.
Update for potential users.
My housemate changed banks and had to ring Bulldog to get the form to fax emailed and also inform them that he has changed banks.
.... 3 months later.... still no change in the accounts after faxing the information to them 4 times. So, we both rang their CS department to see what the flux was going on. SO FAR I have racked up 12 hours in a queue in total this month alone ( good job its an 0800 number ) and have only been spoken to once. When I told CS what was going down they tried to transfer me to their payments department where it seems there is nobody to pick up the calls at all.
Bulldog Inter@ctive - 4mbit adsl with 400k upload.
Only 19.99 for first 6 months then 29.99
New line fee: £1
I might just get a second phone line with bulldog :|
True, True
It's all in the process of being sorted now anyway - I've faxed them 3 copies to the 3 fax numbers I have.
idea
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. how would one go abouts bonding 2 adsl lines together???
/idea
There are ways to do this. Getting the physical lines is easy, get them both installed and you can use something, a card of some sort, to put the two lines into one, giving you roughly 8mb down and 800k up, probably a little less.
Problem is, I can't remember what they're called..... Damn my feeble memory!
:edit: If you know Linux then you can use this which will combine the 2 lines, then connect your Windows PC to the Linux box and hey presto. I wouldn't have a clue how to do that though.
Sill looking for the hardware alternative, I'm 99.99% sure it exists!
:edit2: Here you go, it's called Bonded DSL, looks to costs quite a bit though!
I cant be bothered to read through the whole T&C's of bulldog broadband do any of you that are with them know anything about a fair use policy they implement? 4MB is a large connection and I can see myself downloading quite a bit.
Well I have the music video program in mediacentre open nearly 24/7. Add to this I always have a system elsewhere in the house streaming audio from various sites like BBC Radio1 and Digitally Imported I always batter the connection when now WoWing or play CS.Originally Posted by Allen
