    Tunneling through port 80

I know it's possible, but what does it take and what do I need to tunnel all my traffic through port 80?

I don't think I'll need to but would this change the packet headers aswell to stop them giving away that I was doing this?

something like ssh could be used for port forwarding.

Basiclly you need some d.aemon on your machine listening on all the ports you want to go out of - then internally send it out of port 80

I think I know what your asking about packet headers, but its not really the headers that would matter in this senario (I'll explain this badley I know)

the packet will be forwarded from the correct port from the source machine, so the header will be correct from the port is coming from (assuming the forwarding is done on a local machine not a remote)
    It is Inevitable.....

Is that, for me going out.... not incoming

e.g. (so I can access MSN e.t.c. at school and get past the proxy server!)

I have it, (they forgot to hide it on one of the progs.) but it blocks all ports bar 80 on both domains. Anyway not meant to have lappy on network

    So....

You're not meant to have your lappy on the network but you do.
You're blocked from running apps such as MSN but you seek to get around that too.

Has it ever occurred to you, that you should simply accept that the schools network is be run how THEY want it and save your "MSN'ing etc" for when you're at home?

HEXUS.net will not offer you advice on how to break computer usage policy at your school. Please look elsewhere for this kind of information.

I'm not 100% you should be asking about this.

Remeber how many schools admins post on here...and I'd hate for any info to get back to them.
