I'm still stuck at 1mb.. anyone else not been upgraded yet?
I paid for early activation back in april (£13). Think it was worth it to avaoid the uncertainty - are you sure your line is capable of 2Mb speeds? That could be the problem...
I have, as you knowgot it on the 1st i think.
Why not give them an email?

Still on 1mb, have gone for the upgrade, just got to wait for BT to pull their finger out as the phone lines around our way only support upto 1mb at the moment

Just spoke to Nildram CS. Allegedly, the upgrades have started as of August 2005. They are working through their list of customers and the customers that have been with Nildram the longest will be the first to get the free 2Mb upgrade. Newest customers will be upgraded last.
I asked whether this will take weeks or months but the CS person didn't want to say. I think it's almost worth paying the £13 or whatever it is to get the upgrade as then it will take 5 working days.
I wouldn't hold out much hope of 2Mb before Xmas.
hhm.....i only got 512 from them at christmas yet i have been upgraded, where as streetster has been with them for more than a year on 1mb (i think).

We have been with Nildram for 3 years...... but no matter what Nildram has offered you still have to wait for BT to upgrade their lines to support 2mb

I've been with them well over two years and i'm still on 1Mb. I wonder if they're doing 512Kb customers first?
Nope, we've been on their 512Kb for three years and haven't yet been upgraded. We can receive 2Mb no problem, according to the line checker.
Still planning on moving to another ISP sometime though. I'm not keen on the new "fair use policy" thing that's been brought in all of a sudden, and the customer service has gone way down hill over the years.
Nildram WERE the best, in my opinion. However, when 1Mb and 2Mb connections started coming to the home, they seemed to get left behind with their relatively high prices. Add to that the customer service going from excellent to fair, and the fact that I deserve to have my connection upgraded before ALL OF YOU, and I'd say have a look at some of the cheaper places.
F2S and Plusnet look alright to me. No idea about UKOnline yet.
