    Bulldog ?...

I know that this is probably not the right place - but I am not certain which area to post the question in - and this one feels like home !

I know a few people with Bulldog Broadband

Some time yesterday - they disappeared

i.e. I cannot raise these folks

When I put Bulldog Broadband into Google and follow the sponsored links...

...I get 'Site could not be found'

    Am I missing anything ?

    Follow up...

The C&W press office seem to be investigating - but had no comment

Not having an 'official press statement' could mean that it is a technical issue - i.e. there is no 'position' or 'message' in place - therefore someone has 'kicked a plug out'

I'm having no problems here with my 1mbit service as I can access the net and the homepage but obviously people 'outside' still cannot.

It might be worth a try checking out the bulldog forums on adslguide.org as there is a bulldog employee who's active there or was at least the last time I checked. http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist...&Board=bulldog

Bulldog really doesn't have that strong of a reputation, which is why I'm waiting on blueyonder to set up their broadband plans beyond 4 megabits. Go with a better company and get a better service is usually the way things work. (cue "witty" bashing of AOL etc.)

You don't have to wait long

Starting from September Telewest will start rolling out their new speeds:

    Bluyonder Broadband - 512k will become 2Mb @ £17.99
    Blueyonder Complete - 1Mb will become 4Mb @ £25
    Blueyonder Elite - 2Mb and 4Mb will become 10Mb @ £35

Upload speed for 2Mb will be 256k and 384k for all the other services.
There will be NO caps on any services

    More info here: http://www.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyond...bbs_evenfaster

All the more reason to stay with Blueyonder... Great Service, greats speeds, 20:1 contention ratio at great prices. Does it show that I'm happy with my net connection and provider...

Seriously if you can get Telewest in your area it's worth enquiring, and to think i did consider switching to Bulldog a few months back ...

As someone who gets connected to Bulldog next week for phone and internet, this doesn't inspire me with confidence about my choice to leave BT and ADSL provision on the line! I just hope their management of my 'new' line and service is fine, since it'll save me money over time and I'll have a faster net connection to boot.

However, HEXUS.graphics is the wrong place for this discussion. Moving it to the right place.

I can't believe you're going to Bulldog since I've been waiting a year just to get rid of them.

I phoned their customers services the other day to cancel my contract but they told me to do it via e-mail instead. So I e-mailed them twice with my details, and I got reply to both e-mails saying that they were in queue and would be dealt with someone from customer services.

Now I'm still waiting for confirmation that my contract has been cancelled and that my adsl will be disconnected at the end of the month. However instead they send me a letter apologizing for the poor service, that I deserve better and that they'll "improve" the service as soon as possible.

I'm not sure whether this is just a letter to sent to all bulldog users or just me. But it just seems too much of a coincidence that I sent an e-mail the other day saying that I wanted out of the contract and they send this letter shortly afterwards.

It looks like I have to set them straight that I'm not some average disgruntled user but someone who wants to cancel their contract and changing ISP to Telewest instead.
