    Linxys Or Netgear Router

i have DSL and i want to setup a network with about 4 computers. should i get NETGEAR router or LINXYS router. i had a linxys about 2 years ago and it was a little difficult to get setup... i had to call TECH support to get it to work with MY DSL... i heard that NETGEAR was simple and the quality was the same.

    Please Help

I've got a Netgear FR114W which I've ben very happy with.
Didn't find it hard to setup, firmware is easy to upgrade etc.

Should just point out that I am on cable though & I have never used Linksys so can't give a direct comparison.

Linksys are now owned by Cisco. Very very good networking devices. They have come on loads in the last couple of years.

Got a Linksys 11.g wireless router and very, very happy with it. My old Linksys wired router was a bit dodgy but the newer one is amazing. Very easy to set up, very good documentation and has been working flawlessly for around 5 months now.

Don't go near NetGEAR .... if there routers are anything like there other products they'll never work properly, lol!

I've setup two of the cheap Lynksys 4 port HUB/Routers with NTL modems and it was dead easy, plug it in restart everything and it was all working. They cost about 50 quid!

Linksys, netgear firmware can be buggy
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Any reason why you're sticking to Netgear or Linksys?

I like 3com, I think they do a DSL router.
