Cheap 4 port HUB/Router from Lynksys are good ...
Never used it with xDSL before - only ever cable lines!

As has been said, linksys are good, but i think you would need a separate modem! dont think they make em with them built in!
cheers guys
i was hoping to get a modem/router combined that could connect 2-4 computers
any other ideas
I think if you look around on places like EBuyer etc. you'll be able to pick up a modem/router/HUB cheapish, although not had any real experience with them ... just stick to good names - LynkSys, 3COM, DLINK etc. no NetGEAR or OwnBrand stuff, lol!

I've been using a Netgear firewall/router for years without trouble. The router before this one (I upgraded to get a hardware firewall) was also Netgear, and a mate is now using that, and has had no trouble. I've also got an 8-port Netgear switch, another 4-port Netgear switch and a Netgear Radio Access Point, and have had no trouble with any of them. I also use several Netgear NIC's, Netgear wireless cards to connect to the AP and the whole lot has worked perfectly.Originally posted by unrealrocks
