    Broadband routed to 3 PC's

Just a quick question really. Is it possible to limit the amount of bandwith available to each PC?

A friend of mine has a 1mbit line installed at his UNI house and has 3 PC's connected to it. Obviously its way faster than 56k but when someone sticks a download on the whole thing slows down. Is there any-way to limit it to like 300k each??

I doubt it but have been wondering this for a few days.

R-points pyramid scheme is NOT allowed on HEXUS. Please do not add it back again - thank you.

think theres some linux stuff that does it free but afaik the only windows solution (cirtainly used to be) for nt. ive found that download monkeys generally calm down after a month or 2 - so the nets more useable - or you can just block the kazaa ports whenever you wanna play

is it possible to block kazaa ports? i thought kazaa searches through various ports to find an open one, and even uses port 80 which is for normal web browsing?

Also I think i heard theres a way in the registry to reduce the TCP bandwidth or something?

    Also TomWilko check your PM
