    Windows/Mac Firewire networking?

I'm trying to connect my iBook to my PC via a firewire link as I *should* be able connect at the full 400mbit, but for some reason it's only functioning as a 100mbit link..

Something that is also a bit odd is that Windows finds an "unknown" device when I link the two machines together..

Am I missing some drivers, or does the full 400mbit link only work on the same platform?

I would use gigabit ethernet, but the iBook doesn't support it :/

Try target disc mode then (hold T while booting the Mac).

I think it may be irrelevent, I think the iBook hdd is getting maxed out by even 100mbit..

I might have a look for a replacement hdd with a bit more poke, then dump the internal into a caddie..
