Ukonline are releasing soon but i can't say when :|

However my connection and many others has been rock solid barr any poor choice in router, unlike Bethere which seems like they are doing a trial on the general public

Oh and the best router i've found (i've tried loads) for adsl2+ is the D-Link DSL-G624M as it has some rather nifty features like adaptive rate management which resyncs in realtime according to the linestats. So no more dropped connections

    Really?

    According to this graph:

You'd need to have a line no longer than 2.8km to be able to get 10Mbit downloads..

Presuming that you cannot get 2mbit ADSL due to line length at the moment that would mean that you have a line length in excess of 4.3km, which in turn would yield a maximum rate on ADSL2+ of just under 4Mbit..

He said the whole company's customers are getting 8Mbps max (and not the 24MBPS) update when ADSL2+ gets implemented!

Hey Jonny, nice to be able to read ya post now mate lol

Just messing, but yeah, i'm waiting patiently for WiMAX. Where i live it will probably be the only answer to my problems. There is a couple of firms trialing it in some parts of the UK, but full rollout could be a while off. The distances covered are quite impressive. It's not really a consumer technology, if you know what i mean, the back end kit is very expensive and largly still in development.

That city you mention is San Diego i believe. I don't think its complete yet, but its Google that are building it and get this - it will be completely free for all! Lucky gits.

i firmly believe there is no such thing as 'free'

Iæm sure Google will have a relatively non-aggressive way of this paying for itself.
