    Please Advise

    Right, one PC is connected to the net (NTL Broadband) but the other pc in the adjoining room is not. What do i need to get Internet access to the other PC? Ta

    A cable router (not one with a builtin dsl modem) and either a big cable, or wireless card for teh remote machine. (obviously wireless will require a wireless router)

    very easy to set up a router just connect the pcs to it and the modem to it on cat5 cable and the router does the rest.most have in built firewalls as well

    So the existing modem stays and the router connects to that?

    yes, with cable, you plug the router directly into the modem provided by ntl/telewest

    LInksys/dlink although the cheap ones are just as good, if anyone on your network is a big fan of having bittorrent etc running all the time its worth getting one with QOS, which, in theory, keeps the web resopnsive witout harming download speed too much.

    Get the ebuyer brand router. It's cheap and works well

    Sorted now. Got a Linksys Wireless router and wireless card. All working fine. Ta All
