    Unhappy D-Link DSL300+G Modem... 2 probs

So my modem finally arrived today and I spent a few mins setting it up but have a couple of probs with it

1 - I cant seem to change the IP address from the factory setting which is a pain as I want to change it to something else as I already have this IP assigned.

2 - I cant turn off DHCP which is also bad as I want my smoothwall to run its own DHCP and nothing else to run DHCP.

Anyone got this modem or know someone that does that could help ??

Shouldn't be a problem to do either.
Normally a config web page where you can set everything up...

Will Google for a manual and see....

I called them today an unfortunaetly it is not possible to turn off the DHCP part or change the factory IP address

The DHCP part only actually assigns the single PC an IP address and it will be plugged into a smoothwall anyways which is set to static so thats not a prob but I wish I could have changed the default IP

I've got one of these plugged into my DWL-604+ wireless router (which also runs DHCP). From what I can tell, the router assigns the IP to the modem (and to my computer and laptop), rather than the modem assigning anything.

This shurely means there's a way to override the modem's DHCP and assign it an IP? Or not...?
