Hello,
My girlfriend would like 'broadband', the speed isn't as important as the price.
She has no phone-line and does not live in an area covered by BlueYonder/NTLWorld.
What's the cheapest solution for her to get online?
laze.

Unless there is community wireless (unlikely) she either goes for satellite (v expensive), uses her cellphone (GPRS - expensive and relatively slow or G3 fast and expensive) or gets a landline and goes ADSL. She then has a pick of ISPs, but for light use, someone like metronet might be worth a look.

My broadband speed - 750 Meganibbles/minute
Without the phoneline cheapest option would be virgin store's, etc which offer internet access.
cheapest way is to hope a neighbour has a unsecured wifi network you can "borrow"![]()

if not you could look at the 3G data offerings Vodaphone and co are offering, steep pricing but depends on what she needs it for, useful for email
'lo mate
bulldog offer payg broadband + phoneline (startactive or goactive I think we call it)
but tbh, the 8meg is so cheap..
it depends on how close she is to the populated exchanges in bedford.
