Does it matter if other routers in the area are using the same channel are my router?
I'm on channel 11 and there are two others in my street using channel 11 (says NetworkStumbler).

Yes, change it to channel 1 or 6.
Foook!
I changed it to Channel 1, but now my PC doesn't see my router in 'View Available Networks'??? and I can't access my router to change it back?
Network Stumbler doesn't even detect the router anymore?!!
Help!!!

Okay, managed to use a CAT5. Phew!
Managed to change the channel in the end - the problem was being caused by me changing it via wireless and not CAT5. LOL.

Might actually be worth setting it to channel 6 and not 1. I've had a few problems in the past with some access points which had channels set too close together eg 1 and 11. Ideally set them at least 3 channels apart. Solved all my problems.![]()
