    new wireless router recomendations

ok i want to upgrade my wireless router and have a few questions
1 what is the difference bettween mimo and pre-n
2 are either of the above worth getting
3 should i fork out for an uber router like drayteck 2800g or is it not worth it / i should get 1 of the above technologies
i want a router that has combined adsl1/2/2+ modem and wireless bit(obvious) a printer server(usb) bit would be a bonus but not neccessary
i live in an old victorian house with thick walls so it needs to have good signal
a am currently using a belkin 54mps one that is slowly giving out

    1) mimo is "multiple in multiple out", its a feature on the up and coming n standard and allows data to be sent over mutiple channels simultaneously, thereby increasing the bandwidth....I believe it is also how the double speed g versions work. pre-n is just the next version of (a)...b....g...now n

    2) well if you get pre n, you will get mimo, however bare in mind that pre-n is exactly that...pre standard, the standard is still being discussed and there is no guarenttee that it will work on the standard when it eventually comes out....I personally would stick to g and leave it at that...54MBps is adequate for me though

    3) I don't really have a comment on that, although if you live in an old house with thick walls, i would seriously consider alternatives to wireless, or at least borrow some equipment first, to see if it will work
