    USB wireless adaptor

My brother is using a wireless belkin card but is having issues which he can't fix, apparently lot's of people with the same card are having the same issues, so he would quite like a USB adaptor, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend one.

    cheers Olie

    Thumbs up USB Adaptor

    Hi,

I Have just bought and installed a Linksys WUSB54G adaptor.

only cost £28, took 5 mins to install the software and it worked first time.

I do have a linksys router though, so maybe that helped?

even so, I'm pretty happy with it.

Thanks, his router is fine as the other people in his house don't have a problem, the amazon reviews seem positive for that model.

I used a D-Link one like this (except 22Mbps) and had no problems for many years.

The beauty of these two models above is that they run via a USB calbe, and are not just sticks stuck in the back of the PC. That way you can have them on top of your PC or on a shelf to get a better signal.

I have experience with a Netgear WG111 Wireless 54Mbps USB 2.0 Adapter and this performs well. You can get them from amazon for 18.99 plus postage at the moment (on the amazon market place)
