Im currently on a 2mb net connection, and im sure i remember being told that *mb was the max this phone line could support (very very old phone line). Is there anything online that can check this and find out for me?

2Mb is the normal limit for residential ADSL unless your local exchange is unbundled (think Bulldog / Be etc.) when it can rise as high as 24Mb - this of course does depend on your attentuation/line conditions (how far you are away from the exchange).
Maybe the 2Mb will change when ADSL2/2+ / MaxADSL eventually materialise...
Yeh, i found out from BT that it is 2mb, pitty. I live less than 2miles drive from the exchange and it only supplies to 3 very small villages worth.Originally Posted by SourceQuench
