    Password Prob's!

    how do you set your password on the dial-up part to connect to the internet??

    Its bug'd me since going to xp!! i'm with tiscali adsl and all i want is to click on the internet icon and not worry about typing in passwords, also its for my Gf so she can enjoy the wonder of the internet!!

    Already tried that...all that happens is the computer says..."Put your password here!" and i can't get it off!

    yup, but it actually saves it, all you do when you type it in is replace it. Hit connect and it will used the saved password. It works as a password mask instead of dots or ********.

    imo, XP Pro doesn't ask you. XP Home does. Now I've never used home as a full OS, but from setting up friends systems password remembering pisses me off.

    Yep, thats right, I used to setup DUN to autodial instead, there's an option somewhere but it's been so long ago I've completely forgotten.
