    Need an ADSL/Wifi Router ASAP!

My ADSL wifi router blew up over night

So I need to pick one up on my way home, hence I need one that PCWorld sells ideally.....

    Any recommendations?

    They've got...
Netgear DG834G (inc USB dongle) £64.99
    Linksys WRT54G £50ish
    Linksys WRT54GSUK £50ish
    D-Link DSL-G604T £65ish

    So any recommendations?

I'd go with the linksys myself, diet coke of cisco. Can't go wrong.

But i'd also advise going seperates if you can afford it, means you can do awsome stuff like say put a m0n0wall box in there
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)

WRT54G and GS are both Cable routers, so unless youve got an ethernet modem wont work. The WAG54xxxx series would be the ones for ADSL. It have the netgear off that list, my experience with d-link routers has been pretty poor. Dont forget to reserve it for collection, youll probably save about 20 quid.

Gone for the netgear, pick it up on way home.

Seems to get good reviews and lots of people recommend it for long lines (mine is )

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought one of these and messed around with it for 3 days before taking it back. The USB stick was awful unless you ran it at b standard (barely worked at g and wouldn't work for more than a second or 2 at g+).
Other bizarre problem was the router would lose all it's settings sometimes when it was power cycled.
    Truely awful piece of kit.

netgears really do seem to be touch and go, sometimes they work a dream for people and are absolutely perfect or they're a nightmare.

had a netgear for a year worked well. replaced it with the Linksys and suddenly realised how slow my netgear had been ! Have had the linksys 3 months now and it works flawlessly. Loads of options and features to tweak and at £50 it's a steal!

I have a NetGear DG834G - it is over 2 years old and is excellent. I have 2 desktops plus server on ethernet and my 3 teenage daughters each have a wireless connected laptop.

I works great, and I have recommended it to at least a dozen friends and collegues who all bought NetGear and all are happy.
