    Straight forward question guys

When i plug a cable into my net card i go online no probs, but if i plug another cable into my flat mates pc, my net goes off.. lol. My 3rd flat m8 is not affected at all. The cable is very bent and could potentially be broken. Do u think this is the case.

The router has been reset about 30 times.

check that the laptop causing problems is set to get an ip address automaticaly from the router.
right click my network places select properties
right click local area connection select properties
    select tcp/ip and click properties
general tab and make sure obtain ip address automatically is selected
ok out and just to be safe restart.
Don't know if this is your problem but worth a try.

You can also see if they have been assigned the same IP addresses by logging onto the router and checking on the connecected devices and it should display everything that is connected to the network along with their IP addresses...
