When will the BBC learn howto stream?

I thought i'd watch some telly tonight, so i went over to BBC2's website and tried to watch a program..... didn't work got 5 seconds, buffered, played 4 seconds buffered... Okay i thought, set buffer to 15 seconds manually, WMP went off again, taking about 1 min to buffer 45 seconds. This is on a rather spanky janet connection, i never have any problems getting 10meg a second + from US peers and LINX peers. Okay, i'll try real player (WHY?! do they use this). This played for about 8 seconds, at a noticeably lower quality, then came up with an error, and i've been unable to connect with realplayer or WMP since.

Honestly BBC, just stick up 2 clips and have them work, rather than twelvety that don't!

The streaming can be fine with the BBC (I generally use the radio) - sometimes it can be fine, other times it will complain about congestion every five minutes. I suspect it is due to server load, but I honestly have no idea.

I often have the 'radio' on via my broadband when I am at the computer, generally it is OK but occationally it goes dead for several seconds and stutters a bit, then seems to carry on.

The only Video I tried was the David Gilmour - which apart from a small picture, or a poorer quality bigger picture, was really good.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

I agree. Its utter rubbish the majority of the time.
It quite possibly is the server being overloaded, as trying it at silly hours in the morning seems a lot better.

I've seen Question Time and Newsnight a few times and i've found it ok - at full screen.
