emails to hotmail accounts bouncing??

Ok,

I've noticed a bit of a trend here where if I email someone on a hotmail account then the mail bounces.

I'm with freeserve. Is this me or them that's causing this?

didn't hotmail blacklist a whole load of addresses ( in an attemtp to cut down spam *giggle* )

I suppose it possible that someone spoofed your address and used it for spam , hence leading you to get in advertantly blacklisted.

try mailing them from another account ?

some people have accounts set up to bounce all non-listed (by them) addresses.

They are probably whitelisting - hotmail's highest anti-spam setting is to only accept emails from addresses in your addres book.
Which is great for cutting out spam but smegging useless when a friend changes their email address.... bye bye!

My brother had done the highest setting. Highly annoying and makes it pretty much impossible to contact him. There are ways of blocking spam, but that is quite a stupid way....
