Haven't used this method myself, or implemented it into any of my websites.. yet.

BUT.. this website here, seems like just what you need. Has tutorials for creating the 'breadcrumb trail' in .ASP, PHP etc..



EDIT:.. Skim read through the PHP one, and it doesn't seem that hard to create. The "breadcrumbs for all" seems cool aswell.
