    Any non-CS issues with Bulldog?

    I have provisionally signed-up with Bulldog for their 16meg service.......I understand they have a very bad CS reputation but its something they are currently working on....

    Other then CS, do any Bulldog users have issues with the service? I.e. High latency, poor bandwidth, service downtimes etc?

    Nope - awesome line & speeds.

    Perfect speeds and latency ( sub 15 some nights when playing CS - some nights I've had a ping of 8 ), cracking downloads, never a dropped line for months...

    After a bit of a chat with someone I'm now going to get the 16 Mb ADSL2+ service too

    I've been with them for nearly 3 years and I have not had longer than a 3 minute disconnection.

    Oh - and their CS has improved a lot since C&W bought them - I can get calls answered now

    Bear in mind tho that Lee is currently still on a BT line and not a LLU line

    I was with Bulldog last year and had nothing but issues with them from the net disconnecting randomly to not being able to make calls (the caller always got the number not regonised error)

    After 4 months I decided to cancel and go back to BT - this was iirc the 30th Sept, however Bulldogs excellent Billing department have just sent me a bill from Sept - Feb this year

    Yes I was on a LLU line - service went active around June(was supose to have been beginning of May but there was problems with the transfer which meant I had no phone and no net for 3 weeks), at the time girlfriend was around 3 months pregnant ..... was a pain in the neck.... the phone keep having issues and it seemed to be nealry every weekend - on one occasion we was without a phone for around 6 days due to a fault

    I only had a few issues with the net and disconnections which may have been due to the phone issues and also the length of the telephone I have around 2km from the exchange, but as we missed several important calls from hospitals, doctors etc arranging appointments the mrs put her foot down and insisted that the line was transferred back as she didnt want any issues with the phones when she went into labour etc.

    I was with bulldog also, well for about 2 months, had al sorts of crap with them, would never use again tbh ... but im sure there are happy customers somewhere .. and employees dont count ..

    Also as you stated the CS is shocking.... on one occasion I when I had no net and no phone I called them (from my mobile) and requested that the service was cancelled..... I was basically told that they could only accept this in writing by email and when I explained I had no email access I was basically told to "go to an internet cafe"

    Yea I know saying that tho and I aint here to be a scaremonger but althought Bulldog state its a one month contract they use to only accept cancellations by either letter or email....

    If it was a letter (even if sent recorded del) they would state that they havent recieved it and emails would go unanswered for a while - it took me around 2 and a half months to finally get my account cancelled, one of my colleagues at work has been trying to cancel for the past 3 months he still has a BT line and on the very old 512 service so has been trying to get his mac code, on each occasion he has been told it would be emailed and of course it hasnt...

    Saying this tho' I belive it is a little better I just wish they would sort my bill out as they keep billing me each month and when I call they just say its an error and would be adjusted and as yet 6 months later it still hasnt...

    Whats the best way to cancel from BD? I have sent an email but no reply as of yet. Can you do it over the phone? Moving house soon and dont want BD at new place cus they only offer 2meg in that area...
