id second gmail - its interface is quick to load and intuitive, plenty of email handling options (finding emails is far easier now as well as sorting) and, as mentioned before, plenty of storage
Another vote for gmail here!

another for gmail!! fantastic clean UI loadsa space and very easy to use and another plus is u can use it for msn!
Not to mention you can get gmail via POP3
I've been using gmx.net for years for pop3/smtp/imap and it's never let me down. Having said that you need to know a bit of German to use it since they pulled the English front end. Best of all whenever you come across a forum which won't let you sign up with a free email address they never seem to have gmx.net in their banned list.
Gmail is also pretty good with pop3/smtp too.
And if you like the Gmail front end you can use gmail for your domain email these days:

Yeh, stay away from hotmail.....although the new Mail Live may be Gmails next rival?....
Gmails MAJOR flaw is that they don't allow zip or rar attatchments.
They don't tell you - they just strip them - seriously poor imo. :-(

Again, I'd recommend Gmail - especially with the ability to search your email online - and no need to delete anything.

In response to the thread, Gmail is very good - it has a notifier for Windows and Firefox which I find very useful - Yahoo have got a beta mail thing going on at the moment which looks similar to outlook so that might be worth a look...
