    wont let me on internet!!!

    m8 just come over, he was using wireless at his house but now we plug my internet in and it detects the LAN but then it wont let him go on the internet!?!?! someone please help!

    check the tcp/ip options under the network you are connecting to, make sure "automatically obtain DNS address" or somthing like that is ticked

    you may need to change the IP subnet and gateway if both connections are on static IPs, if on dynamic IP as stated above make sure TCP/IP is set to "obtain an IP address automatically" same with DNS.

    run an IPCONFIG command and check / campare IP address, subnet mask, DNS addresses and default addresses.... this may point to the problem....
